PLANO (KDAF) — Chabad of Plano will host Violins of Hope: Strings of Courage & Triumph at the Eisemann Center, featuring Avshi Weinstein, master violin maker and co-founder of Violins of Hope, alongside six Holocaust-era violins, each carrying a powerful story of resilience and survival.
Violins of Hope is a project that restores and showcases violins played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust. These instruments, restored by Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein, serve as a testament to the unbreakable human spirit and the enduring power of music.
“Coming to the Dallas/Plano area is a wonderful opportunity to bring the collection and the stories to a new state,” said Weinstein, master violin maker and co-founder of Violins of Hope . “We will have a wonderful concert, with lots of different stories and history, and having the instruments tell the stories of the pieces and the owners of the instruments’ history. I hope people will come and enjoy the music and history.”…
