FANNIN COUNTY, Texas (KTEN) — Motorists will now have to drive a little more slowly along a problematic stretch of State Highway 121 between Bonham and Trenton.
The Texas Department of Transportation announced that the speed limit will drop from 75 to 70 miles per hour, a move welcomed by Fannin County Emergency Management.
“This is the first step in working towards making the road safer,” said Troy Hudson, Fannin County Emergency Management Coordinator. “In 2024, we saw several dozen fatality and major accidents on roadways in Fannin County, Highway 121 being the most targeted area for most of the fatalities and major incidents.”…
