Two Mesquite City Council members received honors at the Texas Municipal League Midyear Conference in Austin.
District 6 councilmember Brandon Murden was awarded the 2024 Texas Municipal League Institute (TMLI) Certified Municipal Official designation. Murden joins former Mesquite Mayor John Monaco as the only two elected officials in the city’s history to receive this honor.
