Hopkins County Man Arrested for Public Intoxication After Being Found Passed Out in Vehicle

On the evening of March 29, 2025, law enforcement officers in Sulphur Springs responded to a report of a man who appeared to be intoxicated inside a parked vehicle at 1760 S. Broadway (Murphy’s USA) in Sulphur Springs.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Roman Vargas of Dike, Texas, unconscious in the driver’s seat of a white 1999 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
