Hopkins County Man Arrested After Vehicle Evading Incident
HOPKINS COUNTY, TX – A Sulphur Springs man was arrested on April 3, 2025, following an attempt to evade law enforcement during a traffic stop in rural Hopkins County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Trooper C. Tenery initiated a traffic stop on FM 71 after observing a white Dodge pickup allegedly involved in a traffic offense. When the trooper activated his emergency lights, the driver reportedly failed to stop and began evading law enforcement.
The vehicle continued through multiple county roads, including CR 4777 and CR 4778, before eventually coming to a stop near the intersection of CR 4778. Troopers ordered the driver out of the vehicle without further incident and took him into custody…
