Thursday morning, City council members voted to approve the regulation of a school speed zone between the junior high and elementary school in Wylie.
“It’s all about keeping the traveling public safe with kiddos and parents that are walking to get their kids to school, or from school in the afternoons,” says Max Johnson the Abilene director of public works.
“There is not clarification as to where the two school zones are separated. And this allows us to clearly define the end of the school zone for one. And the beginning of the other.”…
