If you’d like to celebrate the moms in your life (or celebrate yourself!) with an out-of-the-house brunch, we’ve got you covered. Before we go any further, it must be said: Don’t forget to make a reservation. If you’re going out for brunch on Mother’s Day, you’re gonna need one.
We’ve included a variety of menus and vibes here, because there are lots of ways to celebrate, right?
1. Barney’s Brunch House
At Barneys Brunch House in Frisco, the brunch stands on its own. It’s LITERALLY in the name. And it has the distinction of winning readers’ choice for “Best Brunch” in The Dallas Morning News. Our advice? Get a pancake sampler, and do a taste test with your group!
2. Bulla Gastrobar
At Legacy West in Plano, Bulla Gastrobar serves a three-course brunch of Spanish tapas. Choose an appetizer, main, and dessert for $32 per person. Serrano ham croquettes, anyone?
3. Craftway Kitchen
Brunch at Craftway Kitchen in Frisco blends comfort food with creativity — enter the Grand Marnier French toast with candied bacon or the Cajun shrimp and grits. With a menu of bold flavors and quality ingredients plus a full bar, it’s a brunch experience worth savoring.
4. Ebb & Flow
Ebb & Flow is a Dallas original with a renowned Plano counterpart. Come for the hanging flowers and cool design; stay for the popular (largely savory) brunch. Try the Cubano egg rolls!
5. Eggsquisite Cafe
The warm and welcoming atmosphere and generous portions at Eggsquisite Cafe in Frisco make it an ideal spot to celebrate moms for all the ways they fill (and fuel) your family. Its menu features delectable dishes like the very berry French toast, protein-packed skillets, and gluten-free options.
6. Fairview Farmers
Fairview Farmers cooks up organic, local ingredients for all-day brunch. It hits all the brunch-y highlights you crave, and I love that you can order brunch shareables like croissant beignets and a pancake flight. The kids menu will keep littles happy and full, too.
7. Hugs Cafe
Brunch at Hugs Cafe in McKinney is both heartwarming and delicious, with standout dishes like the Peach Gobbler and homemade jams. The cafe employs and empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The friendly service, cozy vibe, and inspiring mission make this the perfect cafe to celebrate milestones and motherhood.
8. J. Theodore
Chill on J. Theodore’s patio in Frisco as you enjoy a fancy cocktail and the delicious brunch menu featuring a jar of lobster, salmon bagel board, breakfast tacos, and all sorts of eggs benedict. Note: There is a DJ during brunch, so don’t expect quiet dining.
9. Layered
It’s always fun to dine at Layered in the heart of Historic Downtown McKinney, and not just because you can order bottomless poinsettias on the sunny patio. Bellabot, the robot server, delivers food to your table! The kids will absolutely obsess over this one. Make a day of it and walk the square with the fam after brunch.
10. Rick’s Chophouse
Brunch at Rick’s Chophouse in McKinney is an upscale experience in a cozy atmosphere. From tender prime rib to made-to-order omelets, the buffet offers something for every palate. The quality of ingredients is top-notch, and everything is presented beautifully. Whether you’re celebrating or just indulging, it’s a brunch worth lingering over.
11. Sixty Vines
Sixty Vines in Plano is stylish and great, and unlike its Uptown Dallas counterpart, the Plano one has parking! Say what you will about the suburbs, but you can’t deny the parking advantages. Anyways, Sixty Vines offers chef-procured charcuterie boards, and puts a twist on pancakes and French toast for the sweet tooth in your life.
Situated along The Boardwalk at Granite Park in Plano, The Biscuit Bar has that open-air vibe we love this time of year, and the whole area is great for families. It’s a popular spot, so a line can form quickly — everyone clamoring for that chicken and biscuit French toast — but it moves fast…
