WILTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) – The Wilton Police Department has arrested a Texas man who allegedly posed as a Wilton Planning and Zoning Department employee to scam residents.
Police say Marc-Anthony Chibueze Opurum, 34, of Wylie, TX, claimed to be a town employee when he sent fraudulent emails to no less than five victims, asking for money to be paid to a provided bank account to cover “application fees” that were “outstanding.”
