Scottie Scheffler won his third-career major championship on Sunday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, taking the 2025 PGA Championship by five shots in what turned out to be a rout but wasn’t anything of the sort.
Scheffler got emotional in winning his second PGA Tour event in a row — he tied the PGA Tour’s 72-hole scoring record in his last event at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson — and checking off the second leg of the career Grand Slam. He breathed a sigh of relief at first before embracing his caddie Ted Scott, throwing his hat to the turf and yelling in celebration of what he had accomplished…
