Drivers in Rockwall County should prepare to adjust their routes as multiple lane closures on Interstate 30 are scheduled for the upcoming week. The closures, set to take place from Monday, June 16, through Saturday, June 21, are due to bridge and embankment work, as well as drainage improvements. According to an announcement from the Rockwall County website, drivers will face daytime and overnight closures at various points along the interstate.
Key shutdowns will occur on the John King East to West and West to East U-turns, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, as part of bridge activities at John King.
