Delta County K9 Zigi Helps Capture Two Suspects and Recover Firearm

DELTA COUNTY, TX – Two men were taken into custody and a firearm was recovered on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, thanks to the successful tracking efforts of Delta County K9 Zigi and the assistance of multiple law enforcement agencies.

The first incident occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. when a white male motorcyclist fled from Delta County Deputies near Highway 24 and FM 128. The suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Christopher Mosher of Sulphur Springs, led deputies on a high-speed chase reaching 97 miles per hour before entering Lamar County and fleeing on foot into a field.

With support from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, and Lamar County Constables, a perimeter was established. K9 Zigi was deployed and successfully tracked Mosher to a wooded area where he was taken into custody. Authorities later confirmed Mosher was out on parole at the time of his arrest…
