Plano City Council approved an $8.15 million purchase of Armstrong Middle School.
Plano’s Real Estate Manager, Matthew Yeager, presented a proposal on June 23 for the city to purchase the Armstrong Middle School property from Plano ISD for up to $8.15 million. The 17.85-acre site, located at 3805 Timberline Drive, is one of three decommissioned campuses declared surplus by the school district.
The Plano ISD Board approved a resolution in May 2024 outlining how surplus properties would be handled. On Sept. 17, 2024, Armstrong Middle School, Davis Elementary and Forman Elementary were officially declared surplus.
