A popular seafood chain is getting ready to make a splash with its first Texas location-and exciting news for DFW diners, is setting its course for Plano. Angie’s Lobster is bringing the titular crustacean and several of its friends to the region later this year, reports Community Impact.
The seafood restaurant will be dropping anchor at 701 West 15th Street. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that renovations began on the 3,120 square foot storefront on July 1. The documents state that the building, which was previously a Boston Market, will be transformed into Angie’s Lobster by September 30 of this year. A representative confirms that the restaurant is aiming to open this November.
Angie’s Lobster strives to take lobster from a luxury to a food that can be enjoyed by all. The website explains how Angie’s goes about this, saying: “We built our business from the ground up to be able to sell lobster and wild-caught seafood for the same price as a traditional fast food chicken or hamburger meal. Our model is about efficiency…We are going deeper into the vertical by purchasing lobster right off the boats from our wharf in Maine and processing the lobsters in our own Maine facility. We eliminate third parties in every area we can.”…
