SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX — The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has recovered a Polaris Ranger side-by-side and a camper valued at approximately $85,000 after they were reported stolen from a property between Sulphur Springs and Brashear.
Authorities say the burglary happened between August 2 and August 4, 2025 at a location south of Interstate 30. The stolen items included a Polaris Ranger valued at about $40,000 and a camper valued at about $45,000.
The case broke after investigators received a tip from concerned citizens who provided surveillance footage of a suspect in connection with other burglaries in Sulphur Springs. Investigators Tanner Steward and Justin Wilkerson located the suspect, Jake Gunter, 33, in the Brashear area.
