Kroger is doubling down on its footprint in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, unveiling a $160 million investment that will bring four new oversized Marketplace stores to the area – two in Fort Worth, and one each in Little Elm and Anna.
Each massive location, spanning around 120,000 square feet, carries a price tag of roughly $40 million and will employ 250 to 300 people, contributing to an estimated 1,200 new jobs across North Texas.
This expansion comes amid Kroger’s broader national strategy – while it’s planning to shutter about 60 underperforming stores in various markets, it’s also on pace to complete 30 major store projects this year…
