Man on the run for 16 years captured in Mexico, extradited to north Texas on murder charge

GARLAND, Texas — Cesar Pascual Orozco has been extradited from Mexico to the United States, where he now faces a murder charge in Dallas County for the 2009 shooting death of Joe Castillo in Garland, Texas. Orozco was taken into custody by the Garland Police Department and is being held at the Dallas County Jail, according to the FBI Dallas.

Orozco, who was indicted by a Dallas County Grand Jury, allegedly shot Castillo after a confrontation outside a Garland residence on March 14, 2009. Following the incident, Orozco fled to Mexico, prompting a fugitive investigation led by FBI Dallas, stated the source.
