Travelers through Rockwall County this coming week will need to prepare for a multitude of road closures and lane restrictions on Interstate 30, thanks to ongoing construction efforts. Information released by Rockwall County details the range of construction activities that are set to take place starting today through Saturday, September 13, primarily during overnight hours and midday periods. According to Rockwall County’s official announcement, the I-30 will see weeklong overnight closures in both directions for various bridge and earthwork activities, along with the installation of a concrete safety barrier.
Specifically, these closures will affect the I-30 eastbound left lane from FM 548 to FM 2642 and the westbound left lane in the reverse direction.
