McKinney man indicted after I-10 stop finds 400g codeine

A McKinney man has been indicted after a traffic stop in Jefferson County revealed over 400 grams of Codeine and a handgun.

The 28-year-old man was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on Sept. 17 for possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams.

Just before 9:25 a.m. on Feb. 17, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detective was patrolling when they pulled over an SUV on Interstate 10 westbound that was going 70 mph in a 55 mph construction zone and having an expired license plate, according to a police report from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office…
