Rock Hill hands Plano West 1st defeat

PLANO – Senior quarterback Nate Vincent tallied 167 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to lead Proper Rock Hill past previously unbeaten Plano West 31-13 in District 6-6A action on Friday from at John Clark Stadium.

Vincent, the Blue Hawks’ first-year varsity starter behind center, connected with senior Bryce Allen from 18 yards out, capping a 62-yard drive to take a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Later in the first half, Rock Hill senior Mason Gonzales recovered a fumble deep in West territory with 5:45 left in the second quarter, setting up a first-and-goal for the Blue Hawks at the 5-yard line.
