Favorable spring and summer weather accelerated this year’s asphalt overlay work, allowing Public Works to complete improvements on several key arterial roads.
Crews wrapped up the remaining 2024 overlay projects on Hedgcoxe Road (Preston Road to Custer Road), Midway Road (Spring Creek Parkway to Park Boulevard) and Parker Road (Parkwood Boulevard to Preston Road). The 2025 projects completed included Alma Drive (Parker Road to Hedgcoxe Road) and Independence Parkway (Spring Creek Parkway to State Highway 121).
