FRISCO, Texas—A new docuseries launched by Visit Frisco is spotlighting the city’s evolution from a quiet North Texas town into Sports City USA, a hub for professional teams, elite athletes, and global sports organizations.
The seven-part series, titled “Where Greatness Grows: The Story of Sports City USA,” premiered Sept. 25 on VisitFrisco.com and YouTube. Told through short, interview-style episodes under four minutes each, the series explores the people, partnerships, and pivotal moments that shaped Frisco’s rapid rise in the sports world.
“It was essential that this story be told by the very leaders who shaped Frisco’s growth and transformation into Sports City USA over the last 40 years,” says Marla Roe, executive director of Visit Frisco. “We are honored to share their firsthand accounts of how an early vision for Frisco to have amenities such as a minor league baseball team paved the way for recruiting world-class organizations like the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, and the PGA of America.”…
