The city of Frisco and the Frisco Community Development Corporation (FCDC) have partnered with Frisco Family Services (FFS) to launch a new initiative that benefits both families in need and small businesses hit hard by ongoing downtown construction.
The campaign rewards community members for giving back, with a $50 gift card to participating Rail District shops for qualifying donations or volunteer hours.
“The values that built Frisco — faith, generosity and neighbors helping neighbors — still guide us today,” said Chad Brubaker, chairman of the Frisco Community Development Corporation. “This effort puts those values into action: supporting families through Frisco Family Services, then using those gift cards to stand behind the small businesses that keep our Rail District thriving.”

Starting Friday, Nov. 7, residents can earn a $50 gift card when they help Frisco Family Services by donating at least $50 in food, toys or in-kind goods, or by volunteering two or more hours. The organization has seen a sharp rise in demand this year…
