Downtown McKinney, Texas, will host the annual ‘Home for the Holidays… A McKinney Christmas’ event from November 28 to 30, 2025. The event is presented by Commercial Bank of Texas and will cover a 14-block area. It will feature local artists, specialty vendors, and holiday activities for all ages. Admission and parking are free. A complimentary shuttle service will be available for visitors.
The event begins on Friday, November 28, with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:15 p.m. on the downtown square. The ceremony is sponsored by HEB. The McKinney Community Christmas Tree will be lit to mark the start of the holiday season. Santa’s Village, sponsored by Park Place Lexus Acura, will be open for families. Children can visit Santa, share their wish lists, and take photos.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the weekend. Performances will be held on the Texas Rangers stage, including a show by Mosaix after the tree lighting.
