Wylie Independent School District has been named a 2026 CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT). The recognition was announced in November 2025 and highlights the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
The CTE District of Distinction program, created by CTAT, recognizes Texas school districts for workforce readiness, innovative programming, and community impact. Wylie ISD was selected based on criteria such as industry-based certifications, business partnerships, and student outcomes.
Superintendent Dr. Kim Spicer stated that the award reflects the work of Wylie ISD’s educators and students, as well as the district’s partnerships.
