Interstate 30 in Rockwall County to Face Overnight and Daytime Lane Closures for Bridge and Road Construction

Drivers in Rockwall County should brace themselves for a spate of road closures, as Interstate 30 undergoes a series of lane shutdowns for bridge activities and other construction work this week. Starting Friday, November 14th, and stretching into the week of November 22nd, these disruptions are set to impact various segments along the interstate.

According to a notice published by Rockwall County’s official website, the closures will predominantly take place overnight from 9 PM to 5 AM. This includes full closures of the U-turns at FM 3549 and John King, as well as other lane closings that will affect both east and westbound traffic along portions of the I-30. Notably, these closures will facilitate bridge activities and earthworks at critical segments like FM 35 and Sabine Creek.

The construction activity also encompasses daytime disruptions from November 17 through November 22. During this period, from 9 AM to 3 PM, the John King East to West and West to East U-turns will witness intermittent closures for bridge-related work.
