Kansas firm inks $113M deal for North Texas golf courses as boom continues

Golf’s popularity continues to rise across Texas and especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, thanks in part to the PGA of America’s move from Florida to Frisco in late 2019. One company outside the Lone Star State now hopes to benefit from North Texas’ growing golf scene.

EPR Properties, a Kansas-based investment firm, purchased five semi-private golf courses across the DFW area on Friday, according to the Dallas Business Journal’s Aayush Gupta. EPR Properties — which boasts $6.9 billion in total investments across various Top Golf locations, movie theaters, theme parks, ski resorts and other lodging destinations — now owns the following five courses, per Gupta: Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller, WestRidge Golf Course in McKinney, Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, Woodbridge Golf Club in Wylie and Frisco Lakes Golf Club.
