After months of objections from residents of this Dallas-Fort Worth suburb and looming legal threats, a $9.3 million church with a 120-foot spire is moving forward with plans to break ground.
Project details for the Fairview, Texas Temple—a branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints—have been submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, estimating construction will begin on Feb. 2, 2026—lasting through late July 2028. The estimated cost is $9,359,081, according to the filing.
