Urban Egg, the elevated daytime restaurant known for its all-scratch approach to breakfast and brunch, opened its Plano location on Dec. 15 at 7 a.m., marking the brand’s second restaurant in Texas and its 12th overall.
The new restaurant is located at 2408 Preston Rd., Suite 704C, in the Preston Towne Crossing district. Urban Egg is a Colorado-based concept focused on made-from-scratch dishes and partnerships with local suppliers whenever possible, according to the company.
A New Daytime Option For Plano
The Plano restaurant expands Urban Egg’s presence in North Texas following its first Texas opening. CEO Mark Augarten said the city aligns with the brand’s approach to daytime dining.
“Plano is the perfect home for our second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” Augarten said in an official statement. “We’re building something bigger than breakfast or lunch; we are creating gathering places where fresh, locally sourced food meets genuine hospitality.”
What Guests Can Expect
According to the statement, the Plano menu will feature Urban Egg’s signature breakfast and brunch offerings, including billion bourbon bacon, chicken and waffle benedict, house-made cinnamon rolls, gourmet pancakes with gluten-free options and a range of egg-focused dishes.
