On Sunday evening, chaos briefly descended upon Frisco Square when a shots-fired call drew police to the local Cinemark theater. According to a statement issued by Frisco Police Department, at around 8:09 p.m., two vehicles were embroiled in an incident that resulted in gunfire. While details remain sparse, officers swiftly received a suspect vehicle description and sprang into action.
After fleeing the scene, one vehicle was spotted attempting to shake off pursuers on Stonebrook Parkway and Dallas Parkway. Despite the vehicle’s efforts, which resulted in a low-speed chase, the Frisco PD, backed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, succeeded in disabling the vehicle and detaining the driver. During the apprehension, officers also confiscated marijuana from the vehicle, thus adding a drug charge to the fray.
In connection with the same fracas, a second arrest occurred when a suspect fled the scene after being implicated in a hit-and-run crash nearby. Taken into custody without further ado, this individual required medical attention for minor injuries before being housed at Frisco PD Jail.
