Foodie Fridays: Try these New Year’s Eve dining options before those resolutions start

Well, here we are. It’s the final countdown. Whether you’re ringing in the new year with chosen family, your partner, a first date (brave) or still hanging with the fam, New Year’s Eve is both a fabulous night and a stressful one filled with so many options. These restaurants caught our eye with their curated menus and experiences. So now all you have to do is book your table, find a snazzy outfit and send off this last year in style before welcoming in 2026. Worry about any of those resolutions later.

Mirador: (Downtown) With reservations beginning at 6:30 p.m., Mirador can mix it up with choices of its elegant Chef’s Dinner or light bites and chic cocktails for a celebratory eve. Dinner at the penthouse may feel like floating on a cloud while sipping champagne and ordering teh Surf and Turf with butter poached lobster, Wagyu Denver steak, and bordelaise or the Chicken Paillard with roasted baby carrots, pickled golden raisins, and charred onion labneh Mirador is also offering a special holiday tea service on select dates this month with signature caviar presentations and seasonal cocktails. Uchi: (Dallas) Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a 12-course chef-curated omakase crafted for the occasion featuring market-inspired selections. The event is $400 for two people. The restuarant’s regular menu will also be open for order. Reservations are open and availability is limited.

Uchibā: (Uptown) In the same family as Uchi above, this location will offer a New Year’s Eve Nine-Course Omakase for two people for $275 along with its selections from the daily menu. Reservations can be made here.

Uchiko: (Plano) The newest location will offfer a 10-Course Omakase experience for $375 for two people as well as its regular menu selections. Snag a limited reservation stat.

Meridian: (Dallas) This restaurant redux is closing out 2025 in style with a New Year’s Eve dining experience, featuring the full a la carte dinner menu in addition to a chef-curated tasting menu by Chef Eduardo. For $185 per person, guests can enjoy a multi-course tasting that highlights Meridian’s signature craftsmanship, beginning with refined bites like venison tartare, king crab with caviar, and warm laminated brioche. Seasonal dishes follow, such as Hokkaido scallop crudo, housemade duck cappelletti, and cobia with saffron congee, culminating in a 40-day aged ribeye and a caramel namelaka dessert to finish the evening.
