Work on the residential component of The Park at Legacy redevelopment in Plano will be gearing up in the coming months, with new construction expected to kick off in April.
Once the headquarters of the department store chain JCPenney, 6501 Legacy Dr. is in the process of being transformed from an old school suburban office campus into a vibrant mixed-use district with housing, retail, office, and all the fixings.
Some $102.8 million of construction is being slated for phase one of the multifamily development at the site: a 22-story tower comprising 261 luxury units and a six-story parking garage. The square footage is listed as 495,480, and a pool and other amenities are part of the package, according to a recent Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
