Plano gears up for big infrastructure upgrades in 2026

Plano officials are gearing up for another busy year in 2026, with plans to begin construction on major public safety facilities and continue infrastructure improvements across the city.

City Manager Mark Israelson said there will be a focus on executing the bond package voters approved in 2025, with design work beginning on a new police headquarters, Fire Station 14 and a police training center.
