PLANO, Texas — A fatal traffic crash on Dallas Parkway is under investigation by the Plano Police Traffic Unit. The incident, which occurred on January 3, 2026, involved a high-speed collision with a concrete power pole.
According to a press release from the Plano Police Department, officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the crash at approximately 12:15 p.m. A silver Hyundai Accent, traveling southbound at a high rate of speed, struck the curb, left the roadway, and collided with a concrete power pole. The vehicle then hit an unoccupied Subaru Legacy in a car dealership parking lot before catching fire.
