PLANO, Texas — Cinemark is celebrating its highest-grossing box office year since 2019, according to the movie company.
The Plano-based company said 2025 was the highest-grossing domestic box office year since pre-pandemic times, surpassing North American industry performance, the company said in a press release.
Cinemark said it also set additional record-breaking results in 2025 for: All-time high Memorial Day weekend, biggest PG-rated opening ever with A Minecraft Movie, second-largest horror opening ever with The Conjuring: Last Rights, second-highest-grossing Thanksgiving weekend ever, largest Christmas Day box office and highest-attended New Year’s Eve since 2019, and highest-grossing non-traditional content year in company history…
