The city of McKinney is calling on residents to play a direct role in addressing homelessness by volunteering for the 2026 Point In Time Count, a nationwide effort that gathers critical data on individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The local count will take place the evening of Jan. 22, and more than 90 volunteers are needed to complete the effort.
Each year, the Point In Time Count provides a snapshot of homelessness in communities across the country. In McKinney, the data collected helps guide funding decisions, shape housing strategies, and inform services designed to support some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
Why The Point In Time Count Matters
