NTxBio pauses $31M Plano biomanufacturing project plans

Plans to construct a $31 million biomanufacturing facility in Plano’s Legacy West district have been paused as the company reassesses its long-term growth strategy and capital priorities.

Plano’s NTxBio project, supported by a $1.48 million Texas Enterprise Funding grant, is projected to create over 170 new jobs and more than $31 million in capital investment.

NTxBio was founded in 2015 and manufactures pharmaceutical-grade raw materials for use in the development of RNA and protein therapeutics. Announced in May 2025, the project was scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026 and was positioned as a cornerstone investment in an effort to attract more life sciences companies to the Dallas-Fort Worth region…
