According to the Allen Police Department’s annual report, crime in the city of Allen dropped 22.6% in 2025, giving the city one of the lowest crime rates per capita amongst Texas municipalities with more than 80,000 people.
Allen Police Chief Steve Dye gave the Allen City Council the police department’s annual report during its Feb. 24 workshop, detailing the drop in crime rate Allen has seen over the past 12 months.
According to the annual report, the city of Allen recorded 885 total crimes in 2025, down from 1,143 in 2024. Allen’s crime rate fell to 7.59 offenses per 1,000 residents, the lowest among the state’s 50 largest cities…
