Celina’s booming Preston Road corridor is about to get another familiar sign out front: Jimmy John’s is set to open a new sandwich shop this summer at 1520 S. Preston Road, Suite 100. The national chain is also bringing a second location to nearby Prosper, expected to open this spring, giving hungry residents north of Frisco one more grab-and-go and delivery option as the area fills in around big-box anchors.
According to Community Impact, the Celina shop is listed for a summer debut at the Preston Road address, with the standard Jimmy John’s lineup of sandwiches, wraps and sides on deck. Community Impact also notes that a Prosper location is slated to open this spring, setting up a one-two punch for the brand along the busy corridor.
On its official site, Jimmy John’s lists a menu built around whole sandwiches and wraps, plus sides such as pasta salad and potato salad. Customers can order for pickup, curbside or delivery. The chain, which is listed under Inspire Brands for corporate filings and creative credits in local reporting, leans on speedy service and catering as it pushes further into North Texas.
How it fits into Celina’s growth
The sandwich shop is sliding into a corridor that is quickly turning into Celina’s retail spine. Community Impact reports that the city’s first Walmart Supercenter is scheduled to open April 29, while Hoodline has tracked a separate Lowe’s project along Preston Road.
