Nearly a fifth of Plano’s roadway bridges will undergo repairs beginning in 2026, the city announced in an email.
Every two years, the Texas Department of Transportation inspects public road bridges statewide to monitor their condition and determine future repair or replacement funding. TxDOT inspectors evaluate the driving surface, railings, abutments and the bridge substructure to determine repair timelines.
