North Star Luncheon Leadership And Awardee Announced For Family Compass Fundraiser

It may seem like people are trying to get announcements of future plans out before North Texans start celebrating next week’s Spring Break. One of those is Family Compass‘ 8th annual NDBT North Star Luncheon.

2026 Event Chair Heather McNamara and Honorary Co-Chairs Tracey and Aaron Kozmetsky have moved the fundraiser to the Arts District Mansion on Monday, April 27.

In announcing the event’s leadership, Family Compass CEO Ona Foster said, “These three community leaders are not only extremely involved in Dallas’ non-profit communities, but also have a personal passion for the work Family Compass is doing to build healthy families and a strong North Texas community by preventing child neglect and abuse. We are so grateful for their leadership.”

In addition to Rolando Diaz and Christina Meredith appearing on stage with Calvert Collins-Bratton, the North Star Award will be presented to The Moozie Foundation, “a family foundation established by the late Caroline Rose Hunt for her grandchildren.” Moozie is a charitable arm of the Rosewood Foundation.

According to Director of Philanthropy for Rosewood and the Caroline Rose Hunt Family Director of Philanthropy Lynn Fisher, “The Moozie Foundation is sincerely honored to receive this year’s Family Compass North Star Award. We proudly support programs that produce meaningful, measurable and positive impact for present and future generations. There is no greater example of that than the work that Family Compass is doing with the families they serve. Through their home mentoring and community education and outreach, they are equipping Dallas and Collin County families with the tools they need to build generations of healthy, stable families.”…
