Lakeside Tacos Land In Allen As Mexican Bar Company Plots Summer Splash

Allen is getting a new waterfront hangout for ceviche, street tacos and cocktails this summer, as Texas-born taqueria Mexican Bar Company prepares to open a second North Texas location at Sloan Corners. The restaurant will feature a patio overlooking a two-acre pond and an adjacent park and is slated to debut in August, bringing an expanded cocktail program to the development’s retail core.

As reported by Community Impact, owner Brian Dunne called the Allen site “the best location I’ve ever had in my 41 years in this business” and described the concept as blending Mexican and French techniques and flavors. The company already operates a Plano outpost at 6121 W Park Blvd, and Mexican Bar Company’s website highlights handmade tortillas, ceviche and a broad cocktail lineup on its menu pages.

Sloan Corners is a 480-acre master-planned community at the southern corners of I‑75 and SH‑121 that mixes office space, multifamily housing and retail with parks and trails. Not a bad view to go with your chips and salsa.

Timeline and next steps
