A Local’s Guide to McKinney’s Arts in Bloom Festival

What Is Arts in Bloom?

Arts in Bloom is a free, three-day outdoor festival held each spring in Historic Downtown McKinney, produced by McKinney Main Street. The festival brings together more than 120 juried artists from across Texas and beyond, filling the streets surrounding the McKinney Performing Arts Center with original paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, woodworking, and more. It’s not a craft fair; these are professional artists, vetted through a competitive selection process, displaying and selling work you won’t find anywhere else.

The festival typically runs across a Friday evening, a full Saturday, and a Sunday afternoon. Admission is always free, and the setting in restored turn-of-the-century buildings and oak-shaded sidewalks makes even the walk between booths worth the trip.
