Spicy New Neighbor: Sal’s Nashville Hot Chicken Fires Up Richardson’s Central Expressway

Richardson just turned up the heat. Sal’s Nashville Hot Chicken has planted its second Dallas–Fort Worth location on the southern side of Central Expressway, extending the reach of the Plano-born shop’s loaded fries and fiery Nashville-style fried chicken. Owner Sal Afridi confirmed the Richardson storefront opened on March 27, and the kitchen is already cranking out dine-in, pickup and delivery orders.

According to Community Impact, Sal’s debuted its new outpost at 746 S. Central Expressway, Ste. 120, with Afridi calling the restaurant a “homegrown DFW concept.” The Community Impact report highlights menu staples like loaded fries, patty melts and bone-in fried chicken.

Menu, hours and ordering

On its site, Sal’s leans into what it calls “Sal’s Way” – halal, all-natural, hand-breaded chicken – along with headliners such as the Nashville sandwich, jumbo tenders and Loaded Fries (Sal’s website). Customers can order directly from the restaurant or through delivery partners including DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.
