Four killed in Memphis-area violence over Memorial Day weekend, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Four people were killed in separate incidents across the Mid-South over Memorial Day weekend, with investigators saying the cases were tied to domestic violence or personal conflicts.

The incidents included three shootings and one stabbing between Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
