MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old is accused of taking $5,000, an iPhone with access to a $10,000 Chime account, and other items during a home invasion in Frayser Saturday night.
Tremayne Brooks was booked in the Shelby County Jail on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property S2,500 to $10,000, following the incident in the 2500 block of Wellons Avenue.
The victim told police he was expecting his friend, suspect Tremayne Brooks, to come to his house on Wellons, and when he opened the door, Brooks and another male forced their way inside, armed with a black Glock handgun and an AR-style pistol.

The victim said the unknown male holding the AR-style gun told him, “Give it up,” hit him on the side of his head with the weapon, and threatened to kill him.
He said that’s when both men walked into his bedroom closet and grabbed a box containing $5,000 in cash, a gray iPhone 15 worth $600, and a purple iPhone 12 worth $200. The victim said one of the phones had access to his Chime account worth $10,000…
