Teen gets 15 years for Southaven armed carjacking

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis juvenile was sentenced to 15 years after pleading guilty to a Southaven armed carjacking, the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office said.

Memphis teen, Larry Scruggs, will serve 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, followed by 15 years of post-release supervision and five years of reporting, the D.A.’s office said.

Scruggs had participated in the armed theft of a vehicle in Southaven and attempted to take the stolen vehicle back to Memphis, prosecutors said…
