Teen remains locked up on $1M bond after waiving bond hearing

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old man charged in a shooting and police pursuit will remain locked up on a $1 million bond after waiving his bond hearing Tuesday.

Police said Joshua Fifer was one of three teens who opened fire from a moving car near a crowd and led officers on a chase through Orange Mound into South Memphis on May 20.

They allege Fifer drove the vehicle involved in the incident and fled from officers. During the pursuit, the rear passenger allegedly fired twice at the pursuing officer and his vehicle.
