MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A preschool assistant has been charged after allegedly assaulting a non-verbal student, Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley said.
In April, detectives opened an investigation regarding an assault of a non-verbal child after the complaint was filed with the School Resource Officer (SRO) by school officials and witnesses to the incident, authorities said.
