Arthur Moves Away, But Unsettled Weather Remains

Good morning, everyone.

After producing an incredible 18 to 24 inches of rainfall across portions of Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and Alabama, Tropical Storm Arthur is now moving out of Georgia. Closer to home, a cold front is stretched across the Mid-South this morning. That front will drift a little farther south today, stall south of our area, and then lift back north as a warm front on Saturday.

For today, look for a mix of sun and clouds with pleasant temperatures for June. Highs will top out around 84 degrees, with tonight’s low near 70. Northeast winds will average 5 to 10 miles per hour. Most locations will remain dry, although an isolated afternoon thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, with rain chances around 20 percent…
