MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Danell Maxwell appeared before a judge Monday after being accused of shooting a Memphis police officer in the face in February and going on the run for 70 days.
Maxwell is accused of shooting Memphis Police Officer Oscar Torres-Molina during a traffic stop in February. He remains in custody, and was draped in the red jumpsuit Monday.
The 40-year-old showed his face before the judge, as prosecutors still press toward seeking life without parole.
